Watering:

Watering is very important for successful growth of the fauna you planted on your estate!

Watering is free of charge. You only have to step in front of the plant and click on Posted Image.

You must have purchased the Gardening Kit before in Clarabelle's Cattlelog. It costs 50 Jellybeans and will be delivered within a minute or two.

You can only water one plant each time at once. You can earn one Skill Point (SP) for each time watering, but receive skill points only seven times behind each other when the plant is already watered once.

You start off with the Small Watering Can, when having 100 SP you will receive the Medium Watering Can, with 200 SP you get the Large Watering Can and by reaching 400 SP you have earned the Huge Watering Can. With this you can earn a maximum of 799 Skill Points.

To earn these SP and the bigger cans faster, you could remove the existing plant after 8 watering performances and plant a new flower (resp. gag tree) to restart gathering watering skill points. But it doesn't really make sense.

The colour of the flower bed tells you whether it needs watering or not. The more you water, the darker it shades and the longer days it will stay wet. But more than four times watering is needless in fact, even when overwatering does no harm (in opposite to real plants :) ).

You can also water the plants of other house owners, as soon as you have purchased the watering can in your Cattlelog. As said before, watering is for free, gratis, no Jellybean costs. And you get skill points for it to automatically receive larger watering cans (whatever they are good for, hehe).

I believe when your skill goes up and you get a new watering can. although I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks Fraulin, that helped.

Actually I think it's like fishing. There's 40 different plants to grow, so I am assuming 1 laugh boost for every 10 "species".

Correct, you don't receive laff point boosts from watering. It would be too simple really.
However, we can't be sure yet whether there are only four laff points to earn and whether there will be four trophies to win for each 10 new flower types you harvested. But it's very likely, though.

I assume the bigger watering cans add points to your Gardening skills. And you'll need this to be able to purchase fountains and statues from the cattlelog. It will be exciting to see whether these can be coloured, too: You need to put Jellybeans colour combinations in order to "plant" a statue or the fountain.

Something strange happened when I got the Huge Watering Can.

Two trumpets [that followed me around] appeared near my feet, played the music from the King Crab, and a yellow&red pod appeared above me and poured out confeti. Then I finally got the watering can.

Yes, I am male. Just my nickname here is derived to my first German toon (R.I.P., sic!).

Skill points for watering with the Huge Watering Can have been changed from 799 to 999 when maxed.
Pictures of the four different Cans can be seen 71130"]here.

And yes, all these infos here and in other threads are there to prepare a final gardening guide as soon as all knowledge is available. Yet, it might well be that details will change for open server.

I didn't know I came in different types LOL.

I have a question, I just scanned through the guide so tell me if this is in the ground. But.. I can't plant a tree, and I don't know why.

to plant a tree you have to start with the level 1 gags and proceed to plant others as you go along

i have all the 6 sound gags and two of the lure (1st n 2nd lure gags only)

when i first planted trees, it took me a minute to remember that i needed to BUY that gag at least once so i could plant that tree

hope that helps
