Where do I fish?

When your Toon is ready to go fishing, just step up to any unoccupied pier at any pond. There are ponds in every playground and on every street, as well as a pond at your Toon’s estate. Stop by the harbor in Donald’s Dock - there are fish to be caught here, too!

Toon Tip: Your Toon will be using Jellybeans as bait, so make sure you have a few beans in your jar before you step up to a pier.

See the Fishing Guide for the details of all 70 species.

How do I fish?

Step up to the pier and your Toon will get in position to cast his line. Watch the shadows in the water - these are fish just waiting to be caught. Click and hold down the red CAST button in the center of the screen. With the button down, move your mouse to determine where you want to drop your fishing line. When you’re ready, release the CAST button. When you hit a target, your red cast button will turn purple, then a box will come up, then press the red X button or just touch the red button again.

Your Toon has a bucket that can hold up to 20 fish at a time. When your bucket is full, take it to the nearest Fisherman. They’ll be happy to take your fish - and pay you for your hard work in Jellybeans!

Toon Tip: You can also sell your fish in the Pet Shop.

Fishing rods

Every Toon starts with a Twig rod. Your Toon can catch a lot of fish with it, but Toontown’s heavier fish can only be caught by stronger rods. Purchase better rods to catch bigger fish, and help attract rare fish. New rods can be purchased from Clarabelle’s Cattlelog. Toon Tip: The better the rod, the more expensive it is.

Fishing Trophies

Laff

When you’ve caught 10 new species of fish you’ll earn your first fishing trophy - and a one-point Laff boost! For every additional 10 new species you catch, you earn another trophy and Laff boost. This means you’ll be able to increase your Toon’s Laff limit by seven Laff points by catching all of Toontown’s fish.

Keeping track

Check the fishing page in your Shticker Book to see what varieties of fish you’ve caught, the fish you have in your bucket, and what type of fishing rod you have. You can also view all your fishing trophies here.

Fishing Species

The Toon Department of Fish and Wildlife has put together this field guide to help you find all of Toontown’s fish. Remember, each family of fish has some varieties that are easy to catch and some that are harder. Some fish are heavy - that means they can only be caught with the biggest rods. The heavier the fish the more jellybeans you will receive for that fish.

Sometimes you will catch a jellybean jar or a boot instead of a fish. The amount of jellybeans in the jellybean jar increases with the size of rod you are using. The boot is very valuable during BINGO Wednesday because it is can be used in the place of any fish including hard to catch fish like the Holey Mackeral.

Here is a Fishing Guide to help you.

Toon tip: Sometimes when looking for a Grizzly Bear Acuda, you might end up catching an All Star fish instead! So keep your eyes peeled for that special green text that says "New Species!"

Fishing BINGO!

Every Wednesday is BINGO day at the ponds! Bingo is also available on Silly Saturdays. A note will come up on your screen when BINGO is in session!

Image:Bingoboard.gif

Toons at each pond work together to fill out a BINGO card before the clock runs out in order to win jellybeans. There are four different BINGO cards: Classic, Diagonals, Three Way and Four Corners. Every hour on the hour, there is a special BINGO Blackout card. The Blackout card is played against the clock, and you must mark out every square on the card. Each Blackout is worth 10,000 beans if you win. After someone has won the jellybeans go down.

Walk up to any available pier between the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., Pacific Time, to participate. Play on any street or playground, or invite friends over to your estate. During BINGO hours you will be able to sell fish at your estate.

The different kinds of BINGO games are, Blackout, Three way, Classic, and Diagonal.

Toon Tip: Remember to empty your bucket at a Pet Shop or with one of the FisherToons at the ponds before you play! On Wednesdays ONLY you can empty your bucket at your Estate. Just cast again, and your bucket is empty.

A good idea!

Are you low on jellybeans? Do you want gifts? Do your friends keep leaving your list cause you ask to much? Well the best idea is to go fishing and then save the jellybeans for the holidays. So keep that rod moving keep those jellybeans coming, and get those trophys out there to turbo boost your laff points by one point. Remember, you'll be stronger! Toons of the world, unite!!
