Shopkeeper Toons have been taken prisoner and are being held under lock and key by the Sellbots! Only the bravest of Toons will be able to come to their rescue - Cogs, Skelecogs, and Goons are around every corner, and the Sellbot Vice President himself lies in wait...

The shopkeepers you need to rescue are being held prisoner by the Sellbot V.P. in his office at the top of Sellbot Towers. To enter Sellbot Towers you'll need two things: a Cog disguise and enough Sellbot merit points to earn a promotion.

To assemble your Cog Disguise, you'll need to enter the Sellbot Factory. Each time you defeat the Factory Foreman at the top of the central silo, you'll earn one piece of your Toon's Cog disguise. The disguise has ten parts - that means you'll need to defeat the Factory Foreman ten times to complete the disguise.

Once you've completed your Cog Disguise, a new meter (Sellbot Merits) will appear on your Gag training panel at the end of each Cog battle. Every time you defeat a Sellbot, the meter will be added to. When you have defeated enough Sellbots to earn a promotion, the meter will be full and will read "Ready for Promotion". This means you're ready to enter Sellbot Towers and face the V.P.! You can get 5 laffs if you defeat the V.P. enough times.

Sellbot Courtyard

Image:Sellbot.png

This is the entrance to Sellbot Cog HQ. If this is your first visit, you'll arrive in from the bottom. The main 'safe zone' from cogs is inside the Pit, but be careful - between the entrance and the Pit is a walk-route for the cogs. The factory is to the right, whilst VP is straight ahead. You will also be safe from cog attacks in the area on either side of the doors to the VP. The cogs will walk out the door, down the steps, turn and do their circle around the pit.

You will find Level 4-6 sellbot cogs here except during an invasion when you'll find invading cogs which may include any kind of cog and any level including building cogs. You can leave through the door from Daisy's Garden.

Factory Courtyard

This is the courtyard to the Factories. If this is your first visit, you'll arrive in from the bottom. The route to the factories is through the sellbot arch, into the tunnel, then outside the tunnel head right. Be careful coming out of the tunnel, as there's a cog walkroute right outside the tunnel on either side.

On the approach to the tunnel, the cogs will zig-zag across the courtyard. In the main, they'll follow the tile lines, but not always! Watch them for a bit, as - just like the streets - will always follow the same paths.

You will find Level 4-6 cogs here except during an invasion where you'll find the invading cog.

Map

Here is the main map of the whole Sellbot Factory.

For all locations except the Pipe Room, to get through it, you'll need to eliminate all the cogs. All routes through the factory require you to do the Warehouse, both East and West Silo as well as the main Center Silo. Defeating the Factory Foreman earns your Toon one piece of the Cog Disguise and gets you one step closer to entering Sellbot Towers or merits!

Maximum Merits From Factories

This is the information for you if you need merits so much, especially those Hollywoods! Note, these figures are without invasions

All Cogs - 388 Merits

Lobby, Boiler Room, Warehouse, West Silo, East Silo, Central Silo - 236 Merits

Lobby, Gear Room, Warehouse, West Silo, East Silo, Center silo - 240 Merits

Duct Room, Warehouse, West Silo, East Silo, Center Silo - 204 Merits

There are many ways to the factory. Some people call the way to all the rooms the "long way".

Gag barrels

Check the barrels scattered through the factory for gags. Touch them to replenish your supply!

  • Paint Mixer Storage Room (Feather, Jellybeans, Cream Pie, Elephant Trunk)
  • Lava Storage Room (Elephant, Fire Hose, Jellybeans x2, Laff)
  • Hallway Outside Lobby (Birthday Cake)
  • Stomper Alley (Feather Duster, Laff)

Goons

Image:image_goon.jpg

Goons can cause a Toon a lot of problems - one hit from their eye beam will take 3 to 10 Laff points! To disable a Goon temporarily, jump on his head.

Vice President Lobby

Once you’ve completed your Cog disguise and have earned enough Sellbot merits to be ready for a promotion, the doors to Sellbot Towers will open for you. Your Toon will automatically put on his or her Cog disguise as you walk through the door.

This is a straight down the stairs up the stairs event, where all toons are displaying their respective Cog Suits. The elevator at the end allows eight cogs to battle with the VP and his stooges. Assemble a group of eight Toons and get on the elevator - it’s time to face the Sellbot V.P. and rescue a shopkeeper! To enter the elevator, your Merits must be Full.

TOON TIP: If you are a low laff toon, go with friends not a lot of low laff toons in the group.

Vice President

Welcome to the ultimate cog-toon conflict area. The VP Battle sees up to 8 toons fight the cogs through three rounds. From the entrance, your party of 8 is split into two teams of four (pro-rata if you've gone in with less than 8). You then walk down to the Initial VP Location. Here, the VP is dishing out some promotions to newly created cogs, but one thing goes wrong here - the toon you're rescuing lets it slip that you're toons!

Cog Battle

Green light to round 1. Here, each of the two teams will battle against wave after wave of cogs, which can be any sellbot cog, from Level 1 to Level 12. The first wave normally includes a Level 1 Cold Caller and a Level 12 Mr Hollywood. Battle as you normally battle cogs inside buildings, remembering to work as a team, and to preserve powerful gags for later. Each Gag used correctly will earn x2 Skill Points.

Before The Fight

Once both teams have defeated the waves of cogs, the VP will move up to the Entrance. Don't touch the VP, or let him run you over as you will lose 1 Laff. Once the VP arrives at the top, all remaining toons (hopefully all 8) are split into two new teams and you'll begin round 2.

Skelecog Battle

Round 2 sees you battle against wave after wave of skelecogs. These are normally higher in Level, and it's common to get rows of Level 12 cogs after each other. The VP will NOT send out any cog below level 7. Each Gag used correctly will earn x3 Skill Points. Remember to use toonup to repair any damage before the round is finished. A tell-tale sign that the end is near is when you have only 1/2/3 cogs.

Final Battle

Once round 2 is finished, you'll enter round 3 - the pie throwing round. The Shopkeeper will tell you the rules and the VP will try his best to send you back to the playground. Jump up to the toon to get your supply of cream pies. Then use the INS to attach the VP. The target here is to push the VP down the screen until he is pushed over the Cliff Location. It's not easy and needs two jobs.

VP Disabler - The first one is the VP Disabler. The VP won't be affected by the pies as you throw it at him. So in order to do this job, throw a pie into the VP's undercarriage, or that box that the VP is standing on when it is open. This job can take part at the front of the VP or the back. Be careful as you do it though - gears will spring out of it and attack you!

Pie Thrower - The second is the Pie Thrower. Once the VP is dizzy, throw pies at him. This will give sufficient damage and send the VP back.

In Round 3 you can toon-up your friends by throwing pies at them, but this is slow and cumbersome - 1 Laff boost per pie! You could keep throwing the pies at the Toon for a big boost.

The VP will get surprised by the Toon's strength and will try to fight back. Touch him and one laff point is lost. This can also start swiping. If you get swiped, 5 laff will be lost. Each gear thrown, either from the VP's Hand, the undercarriage, or from the VP's spin will make you lose 1-3 laff. Finally, watch out for the VP jumping. Once he lands, any toon on the ground will lose 10 Laff. If you don't stop him from jumping, he will roll up the ramp! The key to this is to jump as soon as the VP jumps. You can watch the VP jumping, or you can crank up the volume on your computer and 'listen' for the jumping. Also, sound effects must be enabled to hear the jumping noise.

NOTE: The VP WILL continue jumping if all Toons are away from him! Someone must run around him to stop the jumping. The more he jumps the more faster he rolls up the ramp!

Once the VP gets thrown off the cliff, you will dance! You get a SOS Card as a reward from the Rescued Toon, and you will teleport back to Daisy Gardens. You are not given a full promotion since the VP almost did, so you have to fight Sellbots to get more merits.

SOS Card

Image:tt_Lg_image_sos.gif

Once you win the VP battle, you will meet up with the captured shopkeeper you saw earlier. The grateful shopkeeper will give you an SOS Card that can be used only one time in any battle. Some are rare and some are common but whatever you get will come in handy in a battle! You could get Flippy to Toon you up, Clumsy Ned to drop a piano on cogs, Moe Zart to foghorn cogs senseless, or you might get Mr. Freeze to make the Cogs miss. Whatever the prize is, it is best if you use it wisely! You can view these in your Schticker book or in battle by clicking the SOS button.

The Toons you rescue from the V.P. owe you a favor and are happy to repay you any time. Use the SOS button in your battle menu to call them into action.

Image:SOS!.JPG
Image:SOS-ToontableEnglish.gif

You can only carry 8 SOS toons. SOS toons can only be used once per time saved. If you saved baker Bridget twice and never used her you can use her twice so you don't lose her after 1 use.

Cards

Toon-Up - This is really helpful when you use it. It uses Juggling Cubes to help heal the toons. Some may fill every laff meter, while others would do a half. Best use when everyone's about to go sad!

Trap - The Trap Card can be useful. They may go in Trap Doors.

Lure - When you are out of lure (so are your teammates) try the card. It never misses on cogs, and these will be Hypno Goggles.

Sound - If you don't have sound, and the others are going to, call in the SOS Sound Toons! These toons can join into the Sound Team! These are Foghorns!

Drop - This can be useful to do sudden death... just like the Trap. Thing is, they are Grand Pianos.

Restock Gags - These can restock gags and maybe fill it all up.

Restock All

Restock only Toonup, Trap, Lure, Sound, Throw, Squirt, or Drop.

Toons Hit/Cogs Miss - These can make Toons hit the cogs, or cogs miss Toons! Unfortunaly... they only last about one round!
