Toontown Online, most commonly referred to as Toontown or TT, is an award winning turn based massively multi-player online RPG. ToonTown, developed by Disney, is set in a land where you take on the life of a joyful Toon, who can play a variety of mini-games, grow gardens, race, golf, and even buy stuff from a Cattlelog. Life was great for all Toons, until the day the Cogs invaded.

The Story of Toontown

Scrooge McDuck asked Gyro Gearloose to make a butler for Toons, known as Cogs. These Cogs were to help Toons in their daily tasks; Scrooge grew impatient of waiting and waiting for Gyro to finish, so he took matters into his own hands and finished one Cog. A malfunction took place turning the Cog into the evil, menacing things we know today. The lone Cog activated the rest of the Cogs Gyro was working on and soon the invasion was started. The Cogs placed their headquarters on the outskirts of the town; inside the headquarters, tons of Cogs are being produced for the sole purpose of invading the joyful, toony place of Toontown. It's up to the Toons to stop the invasion by using their hilarious Gags!

Disney's Toontown Online starts off with the player choosing a "toon", which can be a dog, cat, mouse, duck, rabbit, horse, monkey, bear, or pig. The player then goes through a series of screens where he/she can customize their toon. These include making it differently colored, choosing it's clothes, and it's name. Then the player must go through a "Toontorial", which teaches the player all about the game's features, such as Laff Points, Gags, and Cogs. The player must then fight a Flunky Level One, and continue on to learn about Toontasks and Chat. Then they continue on to Toontown Central, the first Playground.
